Dr. Soultana Vasileiadou received her undergraduate degree in Automation Engineering from the Department of Automation of the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Piraeus in 1994. In 1998 she completed her postgraduate studies (Master of Science Degree in Information Science and Technology (M.Sc. in Information Engineering) with a specialization in Control Systems from the City University of London and later on she received her Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) from the same University in the field of Systems and Mathematical Modeling with dissertation on the subject of "Evolution of Systems, Modeling and Control Concepts in ancient Greece". She has worked as an automation engineer in companies such as Siemens SA and she has taught for a number of years as a laboratory and scientific associate at the Department of Automation of the TEI of Piraeus. In 2014 she was elected as a Lecturer with specialization in "Automatic Control Systems - Simulation and Applications" at the Department of Automation Engineering of Piraeus University of Applied Science and in 2018 she was promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of "Automatic Control: Simulation, Applications and Historical Development" at the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering of the University of West Attica.

Dr. Paraskevi Th. Zacharia is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering at the University of West Attica. She holds a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Mechanical Engineering & Aeronautics (2002), a Ph.D. from the Mechanical Engineering & Aeronautics Department (2009) and a Ph.D. from the Business Administration Department (2016) (University of Patras, Greece). Her research interests lie in the field of Production Planning and Control and its interface with Robotics, Automation Systems,Artificial Intelligence and Heuristics. Her work focuses on planning and scheduling of manufacturing and production systems where robots or human workers are employed aiming at the optimization of multi-criteria. She has published 18 papers in scientific journals, 12 papers in conference proceedings and 2 book chapters. She has been involved as a researcher in numerous European and National R&D projects. She teaches “Industrial Robotic Systems” (undergraduate), “Intelligent Systems” (undergraduate), “Artificial Intelligence” (undergraduate), “Mechatronics Design and Automation” (postgraduate).

Ms. Eleni-Orsalia Sklavounou is a faculty member of the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering of the School of Engineering of the University of West Attica since November 2018, in the field of Industrial Processes for Renewable Energy Forms and Green Technology. She is a Mechanical Engineer from NTUA and followed the course of production engineer. She also holds a Master's degree in Information Technology with Management from the University of the West of Scotland. She has worked as a freelancer maintaining a technical office and has been involved in the preparation and supervision of drafting studies and project constructions such as small and large scale electromechanical installations, drafting studies of production processes in industry, studies on energy saving systems in modern buildings and in industry as well as with the issuance of licenses for the establishment and operation of professional workshops and industries. in the elaboration of studies and supervision of electromechanical projects in small and large scale facilities. She has also been involved in feasibility studies, production process studies, environmental impact management and energy saving systems in industry, as well as with the issuance of licenses for the establishment and operation of professional workshops and industries. She has many years of experience as a professor in higher education, teaching mechanical engineering and production engineering. Since October 2018, she is a PhD candidate on "Framework of Uncertainty Management in Mega Projects".

Mr. Abraham Chatzopoulos is a Lecturer at the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering of the University of West Attica. He holds a BSc in Automation Engineering from the TEI of Piraeus, a MAS in Telematics Management from Danube University of Krems and, a MSc in Information and Communication Technologies for Education from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has taught for several years in many educational institutions (TEI, K.E.K, K.E.S., I.E.K., TEE, E.A.B, etc. ), with special experience in adult education and holds several adult educator certifications from the Ministry of National Education and Religions. For more than 15 years he has worked as a freelancer in a significant number of IT projects - automation, especially in design applications with microcontrollers and, the development of web applications. He has written educational books and articles in new technology magazines. In 2017 he founded the Robotics Academy of the A.E.I. Piraeus T.T. for training and research in STEM Education and Educational Robotics training and the development of training robots for use in Primary and Secondary education. Since 2000 he has been involved in the development of Michatron (an educational robotics platform for university education), while in 2005 he was a member of the research team that received a Patent on "Self-propelled polymorphic test base for laboratory training in robotics and micro-controllers" from the Greek Industrial Property Organization. He received his PhD from University of West Attica and his dissertation is entitled: "Development of a low-cost robotics platform, based on the use of action research findings for STEM education and Educational Robotics".

Mr. Efstathios Theocharis is a meber of the Laboratory Teaching Staff at he Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering of the University of West Attica. He holds a BSc in Automation Engineering from the TEI of Piraeus since November 1994 and a MSc degree in Data Communications by Kingston University, UK (November 2004). For more than 15 years he has worked as a freelancer in a significant number of projects related to research and experimental developmentent in electrical technology, development of telematic applications, maintenance systems, ministration of advice for systems and technical support as well as education on Industrial Automations. Currently he is also a PhD candidate in UniWA on the subject of Development of algorithms in PLC for Fail-Safe systems. His research interests also include applications and training in industrial automation technology and systems.

Mr. Andrew Ronald Short is a Control Systems Engineer, who has received his bachelor’s degree from Piraeus University of Applied Sciences and his Masters degree (MSc) in Control Systems Engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK. He has worked for 10 years as a network engineer at the Network Operations Center of the University of West Attica, where he developed services and solutions for faculty and students. He has significant experience in the field of industrial engineering and energy co-generation having also developed multiple PLC and SCADA solutions for large clients. He has proven programming experience in network services, embedded systems and mobile devices. Currently, he is working as teaching staff at the department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering, University of West Attica. Holder of CCNA RS & CCNA Security certifications.
