Dr. Misokefalou holds a PhD degree in road safety. She graduated from the University of Thessaly with postgraduate studies in Design, Organisation and Management of Systems of Transport Means at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has been involved both in teaching and research in the field of transportation engineering and her area of interest and specialization pertains to driver inattention, distraction, highway design, road safety, human factors, and vulnerable road users. Over the last 15 years, Dr Misokefalou demonstrates a profound ability for research, participating in research projects, as well as in many scientific committees relevant to transportation. Dr Misokefalou worked as an engineer for the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks, for the Ministry of Administration Reform and E-Government and also in the construction field, both at public and private projects with involvement in studies. She held the position of Manager and Academic Coordinator of engineering programs of studies, and numerous other professional and seminar courses. She teaches a variety of courses in both Greek and International Universities.
